Fleet Phosphate Enema
Fleet 133ml ready-to-use enema.
Complete enema, in a disposable easy to squeeze bottle with soft pre-lubricated Comfortip.
A leading brand of pre-filled ready-to use enema. This enema can be used to aid with the relief of occasional constipation, for cleansing the bowl pre and post operation, or prior to any rectal examination.
The solution in the bottle is made up of sodium acid phosphate and sodium phosphate. Following rectal administration the active ingredients draw water into the bowel. This makes stools softer and bulkier and therefore easier to pass.
The choice between Fletchers' and Fleet is one of personal preference or experience, with the Fleet having a slightly higher concentration of sodium acid phosphate. Please see the Active Ingredients link for further information.

Fletchers' Arachis (peanut) oil enema, in 130-ml ready to use single-dose disposable pack.
Complete enema, in a disposable easy to squeeze pack with soft tip.

This product should not be used by patients known to be allergic to peanut or soya.

A leading brand of pre-filled ready-to use enema specifically designed for use where an individual has a severe form of constipation (common to the elderly or bed ridden), in which faeces have become immovable, compressed and hardened in the bowel or rectum.
The solution in the pack is made up of oil extracted from Peanuts (Arachis oil). Prior to use the pack should be warmed by being placed in warm water. Following rectal administration the active ingredients acts by lubricating and softening faeces, and promoting bowel movement.

12 individual complete enemas, in disposable easy to squeeze 5ml tubes with soft tips.
A leading brand of pre-filled ready-to use enema designed for use where an individual is experiencing mild to severe constipation.
Following rectal administration the active ingredients acts as describe below:
Sodium Nitrate causes water to be drawn into the lower bowel, increasing the volume of the stools therefore making then softer and easier to pass. Glycerol encourages evacuation of the bowel by irritating the nerves in the gut wall; this causes the muscles in the gut wall to contract harder and more rapidly, therefore assisting with evacuation.
Sodium lauryl sulphoacetate is present in this preparation to lubricate the stools. All these combined effects lead to the relief of constipation.
The choice between Micolette and Relaxit is one of personal preference or experience, with the Relaxit having a slightly higher concentration of ssodium lauryl sulphate.
